If fabric could talk, its very threads would mention the designs by Mischka Velasco who brings new artistry to the fashion scene. Fluid edit was prominent during Velasco's Fall 2014 Fashion Show on Monday February 10, a manifestation of her concept 'String Theory' was featured on day five of New York Fashion Week. Her show featured the bold singular red string and an array of multi-colored embroidered strings that was playfully weaved across each unique runway look; all magically relating, but uniquely different through this young designer's vision and inspiration. Remy Bumppo will present this Tony and Olivier Award-winning masterpiece as the second production of its 17th season. The Town Hall's critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year's®11th Season continues with The Broadway Musicals of 1932, a year that brought us famous shows by musical theater icons such as Kern and Hammerstein (Music in the Air), Irving Berlin, (Face the Music), Cole Porter (Gay Divorce) and Dietz and Schwarz (Flying Colors), among others. Produced by The Town Hall, The Broadway Musicals of 1932 was created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel. Siegel took the audience on a musical travelogue, exploring the history of the Great White Way and providing social anecdotes while showcasing the beloved hits and lesser-known gems from the golden age of Broadway. The show was directed by Scott Coulter and choreographed by Jeffry Denman, who both performed in the show as well. Ross Patterson was the musical director.
