Potted Panto 2022

Reading Rep Theatre has today announced details of their 2023/24 Season, which will go on sale on Monday 19 June at 12pm.

The Everyman has announced its summer 2023 programme. The season's highlight will be The Everyman's production of The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams which runs from Wednesday, Augiust 2nd to Saturday, August 26th. It will be directed by Emma Jordan, director of the acclaimed production of Enda Walsh's The New Electric Ballroom (The Gate Theatre) which toured to the theatre earlier this year.   

Trinity Theatre’s three brilliant Christmas shows will be performed by a newly announced nine strong cast. These multi-talented multi-hyphenates will play multiple roles across three shows for  triple festive delights! 

Three Christmases since the famous confrontation with his nemesis Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls, Sherlock Holmes has little appetite for mince pies or for solving crime. Wandering through Victorian London, he meets a grown-up and not-so-Tiny Tim who implores him to investigate the mysterious death of his reformed benefactor, one Ebenezer Scrooge.

'Potted Panto', written by double Olivier nominees Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner (also former CBBC TV presenters) and Richard Hurst, is a madcap ride through the biggest stories and best-loved characters from the wonderful world of pantomime.

Dan Clarkson and Gary Trainor (who played Dewey Finn in 'School of Rock the Musical' in the West End original cast and US tour) are joined by Kevin Yates and Liam Jeavons (as alternate performers) with Charlotte Payne as The Fairy and assistant stage manager and Joseph Peters as Mr Nut and assistant stage manager.

In a madcap ride through the biggest stories and best-loved characters from the wonderful world of pantomime, our dastardly double act dash from rubbing Aladdin's lamp to roaming the golden streets of Dick Whittington's London and making sure that Cinderella gets to the Ball.
