From September 4-14, 2014, Houston Ballet launches its 45th season with the company premiere of John Neumeier's three-act ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream. The ballet is based on Shakespeare's lighthearted play of the same name and follows the hijinks and hilarity that ensues when a well-intentioned plan with a love potion goes awry. Created in 1977, A Midsummer Night's Dream has served as Mr. Neumeier's calling card, being seen as one of his most joyous and popular creations. Playwrights Realm to Offer Limited Ticket Initiative During MY MANANA COMES Previews

The Playwrights Realm will to bring back their '1to5 Ticket Drive' initiative during preview performances for the World Premiere of MY MAÑANA COMES by Elizabeth Irwin. Tickets for the first preview start at $1 and increase by $1 for each preview performance that week (August 26 - $1; August 27 - $2; August 28 - $3; August 29 - $4; August 30 - $5). Tickets for performances on August 31, September 2 and September 3 are $15. Tickets range in price from $25 to $35 for all regular performances (September 4 thru 20). Student rush tickets are available for $10 for all performances from August 31 thru September 20. (more...)
