Argentina’s controversial First Lady is the subject of this dynamic musical masterpiece. Driven by ambition and blessed with charisma, Eva Peron was destined to leave a fascinating political legacy unique in the 20th century. Told through a compelling score that fuses haunting chorales with exuberant Latin, pop and jazz influences, Evita creates an arresting theatrical portrait as complex as the woman herself.

by Jamie McGonnigal - Oct 3, 2014

There are few shows I know every word to, and even fewer I've known for 30 years. When I was 10, I was in the chorus of a community theatre production of Evita in Hingham, MA. I became obsessed. The black and white covered vinyl double album became my own personal soundtrack. And I was somehow surprised that people knew I was gay. (more...)
