A.I.R. Gallery Presents IF THESE WALLS..., 8/29-9/28

For the month of September, A.I.R. Gallery artists will show new work and create a series of site-specific installations to transform one of the 19th-century houses at Nolan Park on Governors Island. Re-enlivening its abandoned interiors, If These Walls… includes paintings, sculptures, photographs, works on paper, and site-specific installations. Inspired by the location in Nolan Park on Governors Island, the artists have envisioned works that hold conversations with the site and history of the house. If These Walls... will open onFriday, August 29, 2014. Visiting hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through September, from 11am to 5pm. The exhibition will also be open on Labor Day. NBC Tops Primetime Ratings for 10th Time This Summer

NBC has tied for #1 for the primetime week of Aug. 18-24 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, marking the 10thtime this summer NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 among those nets, making it the only Big 4 network to have won more than three weeks since the close of the traditional season. MisterWives Announce Full US Tour Supporting twenty one pilots This Fall

New York City's MisterWives are thrilled to announce that they'll be on the road all fall supporting twenty one pilots on a huge nationwide tour. This week, the band kicks off a run of dates with Bleachers, which will include a performance at this year's Made In America Festival in Philadelphia on August 31st alongside Kings of Leon, Pharrell, Grimes, and more. After wrapping up their trek with Bleachers with a hometown show at Webster Hall on September 4th, they'll join up with twenty one pilots beginning September 5th in Columbus. The tour will hit notable venues around the country along the way, including Los Angeles' Palladium, two nights at both Philadelphia's Tower Theatre and Chicago's Aragon Theatre, and the band's biggest hometown play yet at Terminal 5 in Manhattan. The tour wraps up in Houston on October 19th before MisterWives heads to Las Vegas to play the second annual Life is Beautiful Festival. (more...)
