Albert Peter Krueger Pens 'From the Fords of the Jordan to the Plain of Shinar'
by BWW News Desk - Sep 16, 2016

'From the Fords of the Jordan to the Plain of Shinar': a set of intriguing questions and answers emerging through a reformatting of Biblical text. 'From the Fords of the Jordan to the Plain of Shinar' is the creation of published author, Albert Peter Krueger, a retired Episcopal priest, who lives in Arizona with his wife Diana and stepson Craig. His children from a previous marriage, Sam and Anaiah, are practicing their professions in Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon, respectively. Most of Father Krueger's time in ministry was spent in the Pacific Northwest. Originally intending to enter a career in science, particularly Astronomy, Krueger pursued, as well, undergraduate studies in Mathematics. God interrupted these pursuits, and he left college to train to take over the family business, a small retailing enterprise in Winslow, Arizona. Krueger became active in the local Episcopal Church and eventually returned to the University of Arizona to graduate with a degree in Philosophy. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and was ordained to the Diaconate by the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. Exploring the ongoing dialogue and rivalry between faith and reason has been an underlying passion for this author. His interests, in college and over time, have ranged from such luminaries as Chuang Tzu to Ludwig Wittgenstein and from Werner Heisenberg to Aimee Semple McPherson. He has stood with reverence at both Haus Wittgenstein in Vienna and the site of the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles. Krueger's other interests have included creating imaginary maps, flying helicopters, and working with native tribes toward the restoration of artifacts, dignity, and self-determination. (more...)
