The Dramatists Guild previously announced that playwright Christopher Durang will receive a Lifetime Achievement award at this year’s ceremony. He will be joined by two additional recipients, George C. Wolfe and Emily Mann.

Due to popular demand, Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN SONDHEIM: Merrily We Stole a Song, the latest edition of Gerard Alessandrini's beloved Forbidden Broadway, will add another show on Sunday, November 26th at 7:30 PM at the new Green Fig Cabaret Theater, located in the Yotel  (570 10th Avenue at 42nd Street -adjacent to The Green Room.)

Shakespeare Theatre Company has revealed the cast and creative team for the holiday production of As You Like It, playing in STC's Harman Hall DEC 2 – 31.

Follow Dickens’s beloved tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge. His heart is blackened with greed, as he withholds his wealth and doesn’t believe in the meaning of Christmas. However, throughout Christmas Eve he’s visited by three ghosts to help teach him the meaning of giving and merriment. However, this story is getting a new twist due to the creative genius of Guy Masterson.

On November 9, 2023, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of Broadway theatres in New York for one minute at exactly 6:45pm, in honor of Sheldon Harnick.

Trinity Repertory Company concludes its 2022-23 Season with the award-winning musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler. Directed by Curt Columbus, Sweeney Todd runs at Trinity Rep in the Dowling Theater from May 25 through June 25, 2023.

Adrian Hall, 95, the founding artistic director of Trinity Repertory Company died on February 4, 2023 at his home in Van, Texas.
