Two time Tony Award nominee Christine Andreas is bringing back her show HERE'S TO THE BROADWAY LADIES for one night at the arts center of On Stage at Kingsborough. Here, she talks with Stephen Mosher about the show, about cabaret, and about the time Ethel Merman spoke to her from beyond.

In this episode, Ben and Daniel talk to Tony-winning lyricist and director Scott Wittman about Frank Sinatra's 1966 live album, 'Sinatra at the Sands.' They also discuss Bette Midler, Patti LuPone, Sammy Davis Jr, Edie Beale, Christine Ebersole, Count Basie, Barbara Cook, Dusty Springfield, Ute Lemper, and Bridget Everett. Scott talks about playing 'cocktail lounge' growing up, and how his love for live albums influenced his career in theater and cabaret. Scott has worked on a number of successful Broadway shows such as 'Hairspray,' 'Catch Me If You Can,' and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,' as well as the TV show 'Smash' and the movie 'Mary Poppins Returns.'

According to Forbes, the son and estate of Broadway composer Harold Arlen has filed a lawsuit against Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Pandora, for selling over 6,000 unauthorized recordings of his music.

Following the critically acclaimed 'Lost West End' album series, Stage Door Records present the launch of 'Lost Broadway', a new series of albums that will focus on celebrating Broadway's forgotten and obscure musicals. The Broadway at Birdland concert series is thrilled to announce that singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom will return to the historic club on September 10th 2018 with "My Favorite Things- Songs I've Longed to Sing.' The selections include words and music from the likes of Annie LaMott, Stephen Sondheim, Fran Landesman, Cole Porter, Jacques Brel, Michele Brourman, and, naturally, McBroom herself. The evening promises to be one to calm the jitters, raise the hackles, and hopefully heal the heart. Showtime is 7:30pm. Michael Feinstein and the Pasadena POPS close out their popular outdoor summer concert series at the Los Angeles County Arboretum on Saturday, September 8 with Broadway Goes to the Movies. The POPS season finale will provide a quintessential Feinstein experience with some of Broadway's greatest performers recreating songs from hit shows that traveled from 42nd St. to Hollywood. "This program is going to celebrate all the different musical aspects of Broadway and Hollywood," says Feinstein, who has put together a program spanning the Broadway canon from My Fair Lady to The Sound of Music to Jersey Boys. Broadway's MOTOWN: The Musical and Helen Hayes nominee N'Kenge, will be the first to perform a solo show at The Pierre Hotel. She will be collaborating with Musical Director Josh Kight on piano.
