MOTOWN's N'Kenge Returns to Broadway at The Pierre!

Broadway's MOTOWN: The Musical and Helen Hayes nominee N'Kenge, will be the first to perform a solo show at The Pierre Hotel. She will be collaborating with Musical Director Josh Kight on piano. Broadway at The Pierre Series is thrilled to haveN'Kenge back after a Sold Out performance a few months ago where she performed alongside Antoine L. Smith and Dan Domenach. Its a One Night Only event on Monday May 7, 2018 at 8:30PM in the Two E Lounge.

The performance will showcase a variety of musical gems such as Motown's My Guy, Etta James's At Last, The Wiz's If you Believe and more. Audience members will join N'Kenge down memory lane as she talks about her beginnings, her love affair with music and a few more surprises.

N'Kenge, who's been described by the NY Times as "a classically trained Diva that can stretch from Broadway, Pop, Soul to Opera, made her Broadway Debut in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM singing alongside Vanessa Williams, Barbara Cook, Tom Wopat and Norm Lewis. She was seen as a presenter at the 58th Annual NY Emmy Awards and has sung for President Bill Clinton at the White House and for the Commander-In-Chief Ball for President Obama. N'Kenge was described as "Electrifying" by the NY Post in her origination of the role of Mary Wells in MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL on Broadway and made her West End debut starring in THE GENIUS OF Ray Charles. She has also starred in the Michael Jackson Tribute Show World Tour and has been seen as a soloist with symphonies globally including at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony Indianapolis Symphony and Ottawa Symphony, to name a few. Music Director Josh Kight is currently faculty at the Manhattan School of Music. He has worked as a Music Director at Cap21, NYU, Columbia, LaGuardia HS, Weston Playhouse and the New Harmony Project. Winner of the 2015 Anna Sosenko Grant, Josh Kight is also a well respected composer whose compositions have been performed at Feinstein's/54 Below, Symphony Space, Cap21, the University of Evansville, Josh's alma mater and many other venues. Josh Kight will be making his debut at Broadway at The Pierre.
