Seven weeks before the eagerly awaited release of The Psychedelic Furs new album, Made Of Rain, The Furs are making available the song 'You'll Be Mine.' This is the second new song to be lifted from their forthcoming album, alongside the breathlessly received 'Don't Believe,' which was made available in January. Founded in 2009, OperaUpClose's mission is to create 'innovatively staged, unintimidating, and crucially high quality English Chamber re-imaginings of well known work and premieres of new operas'. The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. NBC begins 2019 with music's biggest names in an evening that can't be missed. "NBC's New Year's Eve" will feature performances by the incredible Diana Ross, Kelly Clarkson, Andy Grammer, John Legend and Blake Shelton. 

On Friday, February 8, 2019, Bearthoven (Karl Larson, piano; Pat Swoboda, double bass; and Matt Evans, percussion) releases its second album American Dream on Cantaloupe Music. The album features the works of composer Scott Wollschleger,including his Gas Station Canon Song, American Dream, and We See Things That Are Not There. On release day, Friday, February 8, 2019 at 8pm, Bearthoven performs an American Dream release show at the Tenri Cultural Institute in NYC.

The Accordion Festival, a five-hour finale to the Accordions Around the World series at Bryant Park, features the the wide range of this often-overlooked and little-known instrument. This special event features Shashmaqam (Bukharian Jewish Music and Dance from Central Asia), Rhode Island-based João Cirilo Pilom Batuko Band (Funana and Batuko from Cape Verde), New York's own Shilpa Ray (Indie rock on the harmonium), Italian superstars Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (Pizzica Tarantata from Puglia), and all-women, sister act Rimel (Mexican Norteño), whose performance will be the perfect way to start your Mexican Independence Day weekend celebrations! The festival will be hosted by NPR's Anastasia Tsioulcas and curated by Ariana Hellerman.

This September features many new titles coming to Amazon Prime. Prime Original series King Lear will become available on Prime Video on September 28th. Other Prime Originals coming to the service in September include series premieres of Six Dreams (Sep 7) and Forever (Sep 14) as well as season 1a of Pete the Cat (Sep 7) and season 2b of Wishenpoof (Sep 7). Additionally, you can catch season two of PBS's hit British series Victoria starting August 25 on Prime Video.
