SKB Records has launched the groundbreaking new music and video series LENA HALL Obesssed from the Tony Award winner and Grammy nominee that begins today, Friday, January 5. Hall, a singular artist who authentically and explosively brings the worlds of Rock and Broadway together, will release a monthly series of EPs over the course of 2018. Obsessed consists of 12 EPs, each released on the first Friday of every month, featuring stripped-down, emotionally-intensive covers of one artist or band with whom Lena is obsessed. Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the second production in its 2017 2018 season of Chicago's hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway 1959, hosted by Gene Weygandt, directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo with music direction by David Fiorello, Monday, Feb. 26 at Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave in Skokie at 7:30 p.m. In tribute to the original New Faces series that ran on Broadway and on film from 1934 1968, Porchlight Music Theatre created the Chicago musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway as a showcase for the best emerging music talent now performing on Chicago stages.

Today, award-winning actor, composer and lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda, and producer Jeffrey Seller announced onstage at Teatro UPR, the theater at the University of Puerto Rico, that Broadway's HAMILTON: AN AMERICAN MUSICAL will play Puerto Rico, starring Miranda himself in the title role.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater (Orlando Shakes) in Partnership with UCF presents Karen Zacar as' Native Gardens. Zacar as' new comedy tells the story of high-powered lawyer Pablo Del Valle and his wife Tania, a doctoral candidate, who are working toward the so-called American Dream. After purchasing a house next door to Frank and Virginia Butley, the neighborhood's old guard, the two couples find themselves in a heated dispute about their shared fence line.
