Peter Pan Goes Wrong is another creation of the Mischief Theatre Company who are having somewhat of a successful week! The company received the best comedy Olivier Award on Sunday for The Play That Goes Wrong which is running in the West End. Tonight's performance is a twist on the much loved fairy tale Peter Pan.

I knew that the idea of the performance was that anything that could go wrong would go wrong- but I never realised to what extent! While slapstick is not normally my preferred style of comedy, I laughed until my sides ached! There is a drama company within the show who present their adaptation of Peter Pan. Chaos ensues very quickly and while there is the expected falling over things and accidental violence I did not expect the complete demolition of the sets!

The comedy is executed with great style and the timing is perfect. Throughout the performance there are misplaced props, sound and lighting problems, disastrous costume changes and what look like life threatening injuries..

Even the programme has gone wrong. The cast biographies are fictional (I think..!) and absolutely hilarious. It is also filled with fake adverts for upcoming productions (such as Romeo and Juliet 2: Back From The Dead), tips for staging your own play and classified adverts. Absolutely brilliant.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is on tour across the uk.
