The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall is thankful for a recent $25,000 grant awarded to the Hall by the Harry Sudakoff Foundation. The grant has in-part enabled the hall to purchase a new Yamaha CL5 digital audio mixing console along with a new digital audio network. The upgrade replaces a decade-old analog console and brings the hall's sound booth and Front-of-house mix position up to date with some of the latest in digital audio capabilities and technology.

The improvements made to the sound system will improve the sound quality that patrons experience at the Van Wezel as well as provide many benefits to touring productions. It allows faster and more reliable integration of touring equipment into the PA system while bridging the gap between older analog systems and state-of-the-art digital systems.

The Harry Sudakoff Foundation also graciously provided additional funding for the purchase in-part of solar blinds in the Grand Foyer in 2016 and the Orchestra Shell in 2015.
