Comedy and juggling go hand in hand in a show called "The Passing Zone: Gravity Attacks," which comes to the Gallo Center for the Arts at 3 pm on Sunday, February 23.

Tickets for the performance are $15 to $45, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.

The Passing Zone is comprised of Jon Wee and Owen Morse, who have been performing together since 1986. They've opened for Bill Cosby, George Carlin, Bob Newhart, Penn & Teller, and their television appearances include "The Tonight Show," "Comic Strip Live," "An Evening at The Improv" and "MADtv."

In "Gravity Attacks," the two invite the audience to join them, as their promotional materials claim, in a "fight against the world's most destructive and evil force: gravity! The Passing Zone puts gravity in its place, overpowering it with seemingly effortless dexterity." Objects such as chainsaws, torches, and knives fly through the air. Three audience members are brought on stage to seemingly float through space, orbiting planets, narrowly escaping dangerous collisions.

Says the Los Angeles Times of the duo: "Classing, edgy, jaw-dropping and hilarious...comedy fans have struck gold here."
