Starting at midnight on May 5, 2015, B Street Theatre will take part in Big Day of Giving, a unique 24-hour online giving challenge sponsored locally by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. We will join more than 500 nonprofits from throughout the region to raise unrestricted dollars for B Street's productions and education and outreach program.

To celebrate Big Day of Giving and those who make contributions on this day, B Street Theatre has a line up of free special events throughout the day:

7am - 9am: Breakfast with Dave -- Start your day with Chocolate Fish coffee and fresh pastries by joining company member Dave Pierini and other B Street Staff as we kick off Big Day of Giving.

11:30am - 1:30pm: Dogs with Dogs for Big D.o.G. -- Stop by B Street for a fun, cook-out lunch. Enjoy a hot dog, bring your dog, go to the nearby dog park (optional), and mingle with B Street actors.

8:30pm - 9:45pm: Meet the Casts of The Jacksonian, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, and Buyer & Cellar: Come by the theater and have a glass of wine with the casts of B Street's two current shows and take part in an audience Q and A.

Computers will be set up at the theatre throughout the day for those who wish to make their gifts at any of the events. Gifts large and small are welcome; the minimum gift amount is just $25 and gifts up to $10,000 will be accepted. In order to be included -- and counted for prize and incentive funds -- gifts must be made online to B Street Theatre through www.bigdayofgiving.org.

Donations made on Big Day of Giving provide vital support to B Street Theatre's core programs -- its production of new plays (including world and west coast premieres) and its education programs for children. B Street Theatre not only provides both School Tour and Theatre productions for 200,000 children annually but also conducts playwriting and performance workshops in the classroom and in after-school programs throughout a 12-county region of Northern California.

Sacramento-based B Street Theatre is a 501 C 3 public benefit organization.
