An Irish Christmas brings just about everything to the table - joy, hope, laughter, friendship ? a celebration of life through storytelling, dance, music, and song. Dancers dance through the generations over brooms, on half doors, around butter churns, into the world of mythology and out again. Songs spinning out of the mists and into the familiar "Silent Night," "Little Drummer Boy," and "Carol of the Bells," and superb music of the pipes, flutes, fiddles, button accordion and bodhráns are just the beginning of this great Irish night!

You can be sure of a rip-roaring celebration of Christmas from the heart of glorious Ireland with a superb team of Irish traditional musicians, dancers from the Kerry Dance Troupe lead by Scott Doherty (Riverdance & Lord of the Dance), the Kerry Records voice squad, and Irish actor Sheelagh Cullen.

Journey through Christmas in Ireland and celebrate the great tradition of butter making, chase the wren on St. Stephen's day, draw down the half door for spectacular dance, enjoy superb music-making, singing of Christmas carols and great storytelling in an unforgettable Irish night. Irish folk theatre at its best! The Village News calls it "Spectacular Irish dance," and as the Canyon News exclaims, "it is the talent and soul in this production that allows the show to be reborn every year..."

So come and refresh your spirit, dust off the cares of the world and dance home with a smile in your heart as this joyful night brings you to a wonderful Ireland that echoes so forcefully in millions of hearts throughout the world. You can be certain of a GREAT IRISH WELCOME!

Kerry Records is an Irish owned production company based in Los Angeles. The company promotes and celebrates Irish culture and its rich traditions through the medium of music, dance, song and storytelling. Kerry Records' Irish productions are presented in performing arts centers throughout the United States

The Kerry Dance Troupe was established by Kerry Records with the intention of promoting and celebrating Irish culture and its rich traditions through the medium of dance and introducing these often forgotten Irish traditions to new audiences. These 'ambassadors' of Irish dance work with Kerry Records on various aspects of Irish folk-dance, incorporating old Irish dance styles into modern Irish dance styles and thus forging the path between the old and the new. Through this process the best of ethnic and modern Ireland is represented, exposing audiences to the beauty, value, passion and uniqueness of our traditional ways that play such an important part in the life of the community.

Margaret O' Carroll is the owner of Kerry Records and is pleased to have produced hit successes such as An Irish Christmas, recently seen on PBS, An Irish Hooley series with various Irish artists, In an Irish House music series, and The Heart of an Irishwoman for her company. Central to her work is the forging of the path between the old and the new; incorporating old Irish traditions reflecting various aspects of Irish life into her stage work, creating an unbreakable bond between the old ways and the new.

Now in its Fifth Anniversary Season, the Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College brings the community together to share in cultural experiences featuring the work of artists from throughout the region and around the world.
