DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN, Broadway's smash one-man comedy about men and women, premieres at the Insular Life Auditorium in Alabang, South of Manila on Valentine's weekend, February 13 to 14, 2010.  It stars veteran theatre actor Joel Trinidad ("Spelling Bee," "Avenue Q").

"Ever wonder why men don't have the stamina for shopping?  Or why women manage to remember the littlest detail?"

There is hardly a topic more discussed than the difference between men and women.  Hundreds of books have been written on the subject but there are few texts that take on this eternal debate quite like comedian Rob Becker's DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN.

Produced in Manila by CTE Productions and Theater Mogul, DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN is touted as the longest running one-man comedy show in Broadway history, and winner of the 2001 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment.  To date, the show has won the hearts of over 8 million theatergoers in around 35 countries.  The show has also been translated into 16 different languages.

The Chicago Sun Times has dubbed it an "outrageously funny and surprisingly sweet exploration of the gender gap," while the New York Times has proclaimed the show "a comic phenomenon."

Michael Williams and Cathy Azanza-Dy co-direct.
