Take FLAT FREDDY wherever you go for your chance to win 2 tickets to the FREDDY© AWARDS Dress Rehearsal May 21, plus restaurant and State Theatre gift cards!

The 2014 FREDDY© Awards season is well underway with a record 31 schools participating in this year's program. Students from Lehigh, Northampton and Warren Counties are working hard for the chance to bring home a FREDDY© and the season culminates with the award ceremony on Thursday, May 22nd.

In the spirit of The Flat Stanley Project, inspired by 1964 children's book and experienced by school children all over the world, the FREDDY© Awards program has created Flat Freddy, a fun promotion featuring the State's beloved resident and namesake of the FREDDY© Awards, Fred the Ghost! Like Flat Stanley, you can take Flat Freddy with you anywhere you go and upload a picture to social media for a chance to win tickets to the 2014 FREDDY© Awards Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, May 21st, a $50 Benner Street Restaurant gift certificate and a $50 State Theatre gift card!

To participate, print out a photo of Fred from the State Theatre website (www.statetheatre.org), cut out the image and take Flat Freddy everywhere you go! Share a picture of Flat Freddy on Twitter using the hashtag - #FreddyAwards or on the official FREDDY© Awards Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/FreddyAwards and you'll be entered to win.

This is the 12th year of the FREDDY© Awards program, recognizing and rewarding exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theater in high schools in the Lehigh Valley and western New Jersey. The 2014 program will feature 31 schools, the most in the programs history. Lists of this year's participating schools, along with performance dates and ticket information, can be found at www.FreddyAwards.org.

Fred the Ghost can also be found lurking around Twitter @FredtheGhostPA... and around the theatre when you least expect it.
