After her breakout roles in Brooklyn 99 and In The Heights, Stephanie Beatriz stars as Mirabel in Disney's new animated film, Encanto! BroadwayWorld caught up with Beatriz to talk about starring in a Disney movie musical, working with Lin-Manuel Miranda, and her Broadway aspirations!

Disney has released a brand new clip of 'We Don't Talk About Bruno', one of the musical numbers from Encanto written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The voice cast of the new animated film features Stephanie Beatriz, John Leguizamo, Diane Guerrero, Wilmer Valderrama, Maluma, and more.

A new clip of Stephanie Beatriz singing a song from 'Encanto' has been released. 'Welcome to the Family Madrigal' was written by Lin Manuel Miranda as one of the eight new original songs in the film. The cast also includes cast also includes John Leguizamo, María Cecilia Botero, Wilmer Valderrama, Adassa, Diane Guerrero, Mauro Castillo, and more.

John Leguizamo appeared on Good Morning America this morning to discuss his new film, Encanto.He shares what it was like getting to live out his 'closeted rapper' dreams getting to perform a rap by Lin Manuel Miranda and the impact of being part of a film that represents his Columbian culture. The new trailer includes an original song from the film, “Colombia, Mi Encanto.”

In the clip, watch as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Quiara Hudes, Bill Sherman, Alex Lacamoire, and Andy Blankenbuehler figured out how to end the musical's big number, 96,000.

They also discussed the return of Broadway and why the industry needs to be more diverse.

The Today Show recently did a feature on Payson Playground, a park near where Lin-Manuel Miranda grew up. Miranda and his family recently partnered with People's Theatre Project to give the park a revamp. The park is now a space for young performers to take part in a theatre summer camp.
