THEATERSPEAK will present an installation of more than 70 award-winning and emerging playwrights writing new plays in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop during store hours, August 13th - September 1st, In each two-hour time slot, a different playwright will write their play on a laptop, while the screen shot of their computer is visible to the street, opening their process up to the passerby on the street. After releasing their debut album Our First Mistake and selling out venues across New York City, songwriting duo and Larson Award winners Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk (The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, Henry and Mudge) hosted the final NY concert of YOU MADE THIS TOUR on Sunday, March 27 at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street). The much-loved, musical web series 'The Battery's Down' has announced its series finale to close out the second, and last, season. Episode 16 will premiere on December 1st, 2009 and close out the program with a bang!

Directed and choreographed by Connor Gallagher (Fat Camp), 'The Battery's Down' stars Jake Wilson as a young performer who, along with his friends, navigates the world of showbiz in New York City and Los Angeles. Series regulars include Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Mary Poppins, Spelling Bee), Dani Spieler (Legally Blonde), Nina Sturtz (Vote! The Musical) and Cortney Wolfson (Legally Blonde, Les Miserables).

'The Battery's Down,' the hit online television series, returned for a second season last month. Filmed in a style similar to 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' or 'The Office,' 'The Battery's Down' chronicles The Life of young actor Jake Wilson in New York City. Each twenty-minute, two-part episode will premiere at 12:01AM the first of every month.
