The Creative Coalition has applauded passage of the American Rescue Plan, which includes $135 million in funding for both the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. On Saturday, January 11, I had the pleasure of seeing THREE PIGS at the Downtown Cabaret Children's Theatre in Bridgeport, CT.   This was an excellent start to a new decade of theatrical experiences!  The stellar cast brings their A game to this Chris Gensur adaptation of this classic children's tale.

The winners of the inaugural Rom Com Fest were announced yesterday in Los Angeles at the Downtown Independent Theater following a special 20th anniversary screening of the classic rom com 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU. Top honors from the festival went to Ann Lupo for IN REALITY (Jury Prize for Best Feature Film) and Erin Brown Thomas for REKINDLED (Jury Prize for Best Short Film).

Rom Com Fest, a new Los Angeles based film festival which celebrates love through film and experiences, announced the lineup for its inaugural festival which will take place June 20-23, 2019. The lineup includes special themed screenings of iconic romantic comedies, as well as a competition lineup of new romantic comedies, and a number of unique themed events and activities. The program was announced today by the festival's Founder and Executive Director Miraya Berke.

Joseph Cross' feature directorial debut Summer Night has been acquired by Samuel Goldwyn Films, according to Deadline. The film is set for a release next spring.

On Wednesday, September 12, GOOD+ Foundation, a national nonprofit founded by Jessica Seinfeld that provides training and support to fathers and families living in poverty, hosted “An Evening of Comedy + Music” Benefit at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The special evening, which raised nearly $2 million for the organization's work helping families build stability and create an upward trajectory for their children, celebrated the organization's accomplishments and its evolution to better engage fathers for the benefit of their children, families and communities.
