Theatre Communications Group's 2024 TCG Gala: Our Stories will honor ​architect and designer David Rockwell, Broadway producer Brian Anthony Moreland, director Schele Williams, and The Shubert Foundation.

Gingold Theatrical Group's 2023 Golden Shamrock Gala was held on Sunday October 29 at 6pm at Robert Restaurant. The evening honored humanitarian activists Dr. Wilma Bulkin Siegel, M.D.; Dr. Brian R. Saltzman, M.D.; and Ethan E. Litwin, all tireless supporters of human rights and the arts in New York, with the Golden Shamrock Award.

National Dance Institute has announced the Memorial Celebration of the Life of Jacques d’Amboise will take place at New York City Center on June 1, 2022, at 7pm.  General admission tickets are free to the public and available on a first-come/first-served basis.

 A street in New York City has been named in commemoration of the life and achievements of Jacques d’Amboise, legendary ballet dancer and founder of the arts education organization National Dance Institute (NDI).

The Shubert Foundation has awarded a total of $32 million in 2020 grants to 560 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across the United States.

The Board of Directors of The Shubert Foundation has appointed Diana Phillips to serve as President of the Foundation. Ms. Phillips will take over the position previously held by Michael I. Sovern, who passed away on January 20, 2020.

The third annual Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival for New York City Public Schools just took place at Broadway's Music Box Theatre, hosted by Okieriete 'Oak' Onaodowan. More than 100 talented students from five New York City high schools across the city made their Broadway debuts performing from their selected winter musicals or plays.

The Shubert Foundation announces a record total of $24 million in grants to 488 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across 46 States. The 2015 grants mark the 33rd consecutive year the Foundation has increased its giving.

Yesterday, November 10, 2014, Theatre Communications Group (TCG) celebrated its annual gala. This year the organization honored Jules Fisher, Lynn Nottage, and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation at 583 Park Avenue in New York City. The performances included previews of two productions from TCG Member Theatres: A Walk on the Moon (New York Stage and Film) and Immediate Family (About Face Theatre, Center Theatre Group, and the Goodman Theatre). The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. Running September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history. The production is also the centerpiece of the Shaw New York 2013 festival. Below, check out photos from opening night!

Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW presented Bernard Shaw's madcap comedy TOO TRUE TO BE GOOD at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan. David Staller produced and directed. In TOO TRUE TO BE GOOD, a glamorous pair of jewel thieves (Charles Busch and Robert Cuccioli) convince a chronic young convalescent (Ryann Redmond) to steal her own jewels and run away with them to a tropical paradise. Her over-protective mother (Jackie Hoffman) comes chasing after them and a riotous time is had by all. This is Shaw's 1931 madcap high-comedy journey, which takes on fad diets, the medical profession, the military, war, religion, and sex. It's a short and lively comedic lark.
