The Iceman cometh. Austin Food & Wine Alliance (AFWA) and Rolling Roadshow are bringing legendary actor Val Kilmer to Austin for two once-in-a-lifetime movie events. On Saturday, August 31st, Kilmer will be live and in person at J. Lorraine Ghost Town for a very special screening of TOMBSTONE, the 1993 Western anchored by his iconic portrayal of gunslinger Doc Holliday. Then on Sunday, September 1st, he'll be at Camp Mabry for a screening of one of the most popular action films of all time, TOP GUN.

Nicolas Cage to Star in COLOR OUT OF SPACE

SpectreVision, the boutique genre division of Company X, and ACE Pictures announced today that principal photography will begin next month on COLOR OUT OF SPACE. Starring Nicolas Cage, the film will be directed by Richard Stanley -- his first feature in over twenty years. Based on the novella by H.P. Lovecraft, COLOR OUT OF SPACE will reunite Cage with SpectreVision, the company behind the critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2018 film MANDY. The film will also star Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck, RED SPARROW), Tommy Chong (UP IN SMOKE), Elliot Knight (DC's Titans), Julian Hilliard (The Haunting of Hill House) and Q'Orianka Kilcher (The Alienist, DORA THE EXPLORER).

The Morris Museum to Launch New Inside Cinema Film Series

The Morris Museum will launch its new Inside Cinema Film Series on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:00AM in the Bickford Theatre. During this season, this film series will focus on film Noir, and will be hosted monthly by David Landau, a professor of film at Fairleigh Dickinson University. For each screening there will be a discussion with David before the film to provide further insights.
