The full company has been announced for the UK tour of Made at Curve's production of Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS.

Six years after it closed in the West End, the first new staging of Billy Elliot The Musical has opened at the Leicester Curve, made possible by liaison with the original filmmakers. Principal casting has been announced for Made at Curve's production of Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS touring the UK this winter. The production will star Jay McGuiness as Bob Wallace, Lorna Luft as Martha Watson, Michael Starke as General Waverly and Dan Burton, Jessica Daley and Monique Young returning in their roles as Phil Davis, Betty Haynes and Judy Haynes respectively.

It's been over a century since John Millington Synge's Irish play The Playboy of the Western World was first performed, and almost 40 years since Mustapha Matura transported the story to Trinidad in the original version of Playboy of the West Indies. Sadly, Matura passed away in 2019 before he finished the musical adaptation of his work, but collaborators and co-directors Clement Ishmael, Nicolas Kent and Dominique Le Gendre continued the project and have now brought the spirit and humour of the Caribbean to a Birmingham stage.

The first new UK production is directed by Nikolai Foster (A Chorus Line, Sunset Boulevard – At Home, West Side Story) and will run at the Leicester theatre for six weeks only from Thursday 7 July to Sunday 14 August.

Brainstorm Records announces the April 23rd release of Vocalist Maureen Taylor’s recording: Maureen Taylor: Cosmic Connections – The Lyrics of Michael Colby. The collaboration between Taylor and Colby will feature nineteen Colby songs. The Old Globe's Annual Meeting was held on Monday, February 7, 2022 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Outgoing Board Chair Ann Davies welcomed the members of The Old Globe Board of Directors along with donors, subscribers, and guests, and announced the newly elected Directors serving three-year terms.

The brand-new production embarked on an extensive UK tour, running at Birmingham Rep from 22 January 2022 then touring to Cambridge, Newcastle, Bath, Norwich, Salford, Plymouth, Nottingham, Coventry, Blackpool, Liverpool, Canterbury, Richmond and Wolverhampton, completing its run on 28 May 2022 at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre.

The much-loved stage adaptation of the timeless classic will embark on a brand-new UK tour for the festive season, opening on Tuesday 22 November 2022 at Nottingham Theatre Royal, before visiting the Sunderland Empire and Liverpool Empire.
