On October 9, 2015 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will open its 33rd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with My Favorite Things: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The concert honors the duo's timeless work, which has captured the hearts of every generation of music lovers, and will feature guest artists Sierra Boggess and Steven Pasquale. The program will feature numbers from all eleven of the collaborations between Rodgers and Hammerstein. Selections will include 'A Wonderful Guy' and 'Some Enchanted Evening' from South Pacific, 'The Sound of Music' from The Sound of Music, and 'Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin' from Oklahoma!. (more...)

 On Monday, September 28, 2015, Broadway stars Stephanie J. Block and Aaron Lazar will perform in "A Cabaret Evening" at 54 Below, located at 254 West 54th Street. The evening is a joint benefit in support of The New York Pops PopsEd Programs and Ronald McDonald House® New York. The two organizations partner to provide music education programs that serve as creative outlets for the children and families in residence. Hosted by Steven Reineke, Music Director of The New York Pops, the benefit will start with a champagne reception at 5:30PM followed by dinner and performance at 6:30PM. (more...)

Just last week, The New York Pops performed an inaugural concert at its new summer home, Forest Hills Stadium, with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, joined by former Broadway co-stars Colin Donnell and Megan McGinnis. Among other numbers, she performed John Denver's 'Sunshine on my Shoulders,' Cole Porter's 'I Get a Kick Out of You,' and will reprise her touching duet 'Flight' with McGinnis. Donnell will perform a duet with Foster, in addition to 'On the Streets of Dublin,' from Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's A Man of No Importance.
