All politics is personal, as the saying goes. Seldom is this point made with greater dramatic clarity than in Miss You Like Hell. The ending is powerful, but because of the politics. Miss You Like Hell illustrates, in a very personal and detailed way, how deportation policies damage and destroy lives and families, even away from the border. An enjoyable and uplifting evening of theater.

The Sol Project (Jacob G. Padron, Artistic Director), the national theater initiative dedicated to amplifying Latinx voices and building a body of work for the new American theater, is proud to announce the world premiere of Richard & Jane & Dick & Sally by Noah Diaz, directed by Taylor Reynolds (Plano), a co-production between Baltimore Center Stage and The Playwrights Realm. Performances at Baltimore Center Stage (700 North Calvert Street) will begin February 6, 2020 and run through March 1, 2020. Performances at The Playwrights Realm will be presented at A.R.T. New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street) beginning on April 3, 2020, with opening night set for April 14, 2020.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 50th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 16-20, 2019 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF. Selected awardees and representatives will be brought to Washington, D.C. for an expense-paid trip to participate in the National Festival. These student artists from across the United States have been recognized for their outstanding work from the eight regional festivals that were held January 8 through February 28, 2019.

Thanking her for her journey and sacrifice in her professional and personal life, Winters weaves stories and highlights the parallels of the life of Ms. Horne with those of her own professional and personal journey while infusing a beautiful interpretation of the standards Horne made famous, including "Yesterday, When I Was Young," and the iconic song from the 1970's film The Wiz, "Believe in Yourself."
