'This is the story of my career... I have worked my way up. I am not someone who got out of college and got handed the plum Broadway roles. I started as an understudy. I started in the ensemble. I was on a non-Equity tour, then I got to Broadway after a year in Toronto with Hairspray and eighteen months on tour. I'm playing the long game and I think that has made me a better actor and company member.'

"Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert" stars Sara Bareilles and Brandon Victor Dixon hosted a screening and Q&A as part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's "Conversations" series on Wednesday, April 18 at the Robin Williams Center for Entertainment and Media in New York City.  The Q&A was moderated by BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge. NBC was certainly rejoicing with 'Hallelujahs!' following the live broadcast of Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, when almost ten million viewers tuned in on Easter Sunday. Now, almost three weeks after the momentous night, Judas and Mary reunite!

He has played roles as varied as Jesus and Mr. Applegate; John Wilkes Booth and Thomas Andrews; Anthony and Professor Callahan. Nowadays he's bringing audiences to their feet eight times a week at the Shubert Theatre as Hello, Dolly's Horace Vandergelder.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld have partnered for a filmed Conversations Q&A series to recognize and celebrate the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen.

The August Wilson Theatre was the place to be last night as Mean Girls officially opened on Broadway! How would we describe the night in one word? Fetch! To celebrate the big night, some of Broadway's best, plus alumni of Tina Fey's many projects of past and present, walked the pink carpet before the curtain went up.

The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison & Lisa Rothe, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been leading the gender parity conversation and championing women in the professional theatre for over 35 years, will present the final Oral History event of their 2017-18 season with two-time Tony Award winner Chita Rivera.
