Ford's Theatre Society 2013-2014 season continues with the quirky Tony-winning musical comedy 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,' directed by Peter Flynn, March 14 through May 17, 2014, at Ford's Theatre (511 Tenth Street NW, Washington, D.C.). The production features a local Washington cast of Helen Hayes Award nominees as six awkward adolescents and their proctors, all working through a daunting and hilarious championship quest. Washington theatre will celebrate its highest honors for achievement at the 30th Annual Helen Hayes Awards on Monday, April 21, 2013 at the National Building Museum, co-host of the event. This year's Awards will recognize outstanding performances, designs, direction, and productions in 26 categories, as well as present three special awards to those who have made extraordinary contributions to theatre and Washington. Signature Theatre Announces Casting for HOLIDAY FOLLIES

Signature Theatre pulls some of DC's brightest stars into the spirit of the holidays with this year's original production of Holiday Follies. The popular series, now in its third season, will feature performers Bobby Smith (See What I Wanna See, Show Boat), Eleasha Gamble (Chess, Les Miserables), James Gardiner (The Boy Detective Fails, [title of show]), and Rachel Zampelli (Dying City, Brother Russia), under the direction of Walter Ware III.
