Taking the stage for the first time in the new year, The Philadelphia Young Musicians Orchestra (PYMO) will perform at The Temple Performing Arts Center, located at 1837 N. Broad Street in Philadelphia, on Saturday January 18, 2020 at 4 p.m.

Ushering in their first concert of the season, Tune Up Philly (TUP), the community engagement program of Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO), directed by Paul Smith, will take to the stage on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1 p.m. at The Temple Performing Arts Center, located at 1837 N. The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra will accompany veteran singer Lisa Fischer and her band, Grand Baton, in a spectacular performance in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center of Performing Arts on November 1, at 8 p.m. PYO's 130 members, between the ages of 14 and 21, will support Fischer's dynamic range of rock, soul, classical and other influences. Josephine Lee, President & Artistic Director for the Chicago Children's Choir, will be conducting the orchestra.

San Francisco North Bay theater artists gathered Monday night at 3 Disciples Brewing in downtown Santa Rosa for the Fourth Annual Marquee Theater Journalists Association Awards. Martin Bernheimer has died at age 83. He died at his Manhattan home on September 29, 2019. His wife reported that the cause of death was sarcoma.
