COCA will celebrate its Grand Opening Season on Sunday, October  11, with an immersive and joyful film experience: Art Leads the Way: A Grand Opening Film. Created by  COCA's Artistic Team and filmmaker Marco Williams with Human Picture Productions,  Art Leads the Way: A Grand Opening Film honors COCA's enduring commitment to serve as an inclusive creative hub for St. Louisans. It also serves as an expression of gratitude and a moment of celebration for  the successful completion of the Create our Future Campaign.  

On August 24, 2020, Tilted Axes: Music for Mobile Electric Guitars will release a new music video in observance of International Strange Music Day. The new work, entitled 'Strange Changes', is part of a multi-platform meditation on the word 'strange' and its many meanings.

Performances of The Golden Girls Musical Parody: PRIDE Edition begin Wednesday, June 19 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue) for a three-week engagement through July 6. Hailed 'hilariously outsized' by The New York Times, the musical comedy - updated with new story elements for PRIDE and featuring an original pop score - is written and directed by Nick Brennan with music, lyrics and movement also by Mr. Brennan.

Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. Following the announcement of kicking off Opening Night with the world premiere of Steven Tyler's documentary OUT ON A LIMB, the Nashville Film Festival continues its lineup for the ten-day festival (May 10-19, 2018) with the announcement of 48 additional feature films in Narrative, Documentary, New Directors and Graveyard Shift competitions. Capturing the essence of today's most relevant social issues, historical stories and more, these 48 films hail from China, South Africa, Netherlands, Denmark, India, France and more, as well as 31 from the U.S. A jury of industry professionals will select the winning films that will take home up to $20,000 in cash and prizes.

Seven members have been selected for the second class of the Advocacy Leadership Network (ALN), a three-year pilot initiative designed to train and empower members of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) in grassroots advocacy efforts on behalf of theatre and other arts education. Up to ten representatives will be selected annually in a competitive process.
