Local Voices Join Lineup of Prima's FIVE

PRiMA Theatre, a Lancaster non-profit, professional theatre organization, has announced their fifth anniversary season (Details at primatheatre.org), starting with FIVE, a special fifth anniversary cabaret featuring PRiMA's finest talent and the unforgettable show-stopping tunes from the past five seasons. Professional performers include Kristen Brewer, Michael Fisher, Josh Keefer, Erin McCullough, Reji Woods. The singers will be accompanied by Music Director and acclaimed regional pianist Andy Roberts. Past shows represented by song include PRiMA's Glee, The Music of West Side Story, Chess, Guilty Pleasures, Rockin Rodgers & Hammerstein, Songs For A New World, Monster Music, 80's Re-Lived! and Oz in Concert.

Jane Anderson's The Quality of Life is a play about grief and the various ways people deal with it. Oh, you're thinking, a heavy drama. Nope, it's a comedy. A black comedy? No again. It's warm, heartfelt, profane, and hilarious, and it's life-affirming in the best possible way. Anderson looks at grief from every possible angle and leaves you bruised but hopeful.

Emma is one of the first Barrymore Recommended productions of the 2013/14 season underTheatre Philadelphia's relaunched Barrymore Awards program. In conjunction with Emma, the Lantern is hosting Regency & Revelry: The Jane Austen Festival, which will close on Sunday, October 20 with Emma & Adapting Austen, a free discussion and audience Q&A led by Professor Janine Utell of Widener University.

Playwright Walt McGough tries to take the audience on a journey where no man has gone before, but I felt adrift in cyber space.

After being injured by a roadside bomb, she is forced to face the reality of covering tragedies in war, and whether reporters should intervene to try to relieve suffering. Time Stands Still will run Thursday, tonight, March 28 through Saturday, April 6, 2013.
