Yesterday, June 9, the Empire State Building hosted a reception in honor of the 2010 Tony nominees on the famed rooftop observatory. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the photo op and to take in the view.

BroadwayWorld.com has confirmed with multiple production sources many of the online reports and rumors surrounding the performances for Sunday nights Tony Awards. We're told that nothing is set in stone and that performances (which are already being rehearsed) may change as the week goes on.

The June 21 benefit concert of Broadway's Titanic has announced final casting and a song to make its New York debut. The benefit, which supports the New York Society for Ethical Culture (NYSEC), will take place in NYSEC's 800-seat Concert Hall, located at 2 W. 64th St. at Central Park West. Tickets, priced $15-20, are available at or by telephone at 212-352-3101. The concert is part of an evening of programming that includes a preshow talkback at 6:30, the presentation of the musical at 7:30, and a VIP reception after the performance.

The Tony Awards today announced the full line-up of presenters and performers who are scheduled to take the stage at the 64th Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. On Monday, June 7, at 6:30 pm, Red Bull Theater will honor F. Murray Abraham, Michael Stuhlbarg, Howard Owens, and The Angelo Patri Middle School at their 'Running of the Bulls' benefit.

Offering up greater variety, including more than 50 debuts from Sting to Wagnerian tenor John Treleaven, Ravinia Festival Chairperson Pamela B. Strobel and President and CEO Welz Kauffman today announced details of the 2010 season, including a Chicago Symphony Orchestra residency that celebrates major anniversaries of Mahler, Chopin, Schumann, Barber, Bernstein and Copland, as well as milestone birthdays of Music Director James Conlon, Christoph Eschenbach and Stephen Sondheim. The season, featuring 117 separate events, runs from June 3 through September 7.

Celebrating Stephen Sondheim's 80th Birthday this year, Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Producing Director Richard M. Parison, Jr., presents the musical thriller, SWEENEY TODD: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Directed by Julianne Boyd, with musical direction by Darren Cohen, Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece begins previews on June 17; opens June 23 at 7:00pm; and runs through July 17.

The Tony Awards today announced their line-up of performances for the 64th Annual Tony Awards Telecast on Sunday, June 13th. The show will be packed with entertainment from start to finish including a phenomenal opening and performances by Tony-nominated Best Musicals American Idiot, Fela!, Memphis and Million Dollar Quartet as well as the Tony-nominated Best Musical Revivals La Cage aux Folles featuring Kelsey Grammer, A Little Night Music featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Ragtime. The Tony Award-winning actor Billy Crudup opened the world-premiere of Adam Rapp's play THE METAL CHILDREN, last night, May 19 at the Vineyard Theatre. The show, also directed by Rapp, began previews May 4. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night arrivals.

Titanic composer/lyricist Maury Yeston has joined a panel that will precede the June 21 benefit concert of the Tony-winning musical. The conversation will focus on the creative process of creating the original Broadway production, the historical event itself, and the ethical issues brought to light by the sinking and the great loss of life. The talkback will begin at 6:30 PM and is included in the cost of admission to the 7:30 PM concert, which will benefit the New York Society for Ethical Culture (NYSEC). New Dramatists, Tony Honor recipient and one of the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, honored two-time Tony Award winner Julie Taymor with their 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 61st Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, to be held Tuesday, May 18th at the New York Marriott Marquis. Ms. Taymor's award was presented to her by Academy Award winning actress Helen Mirren, who stars in Taymor's soon-to-be-released film adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest. Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatricals served as the Luncheon Chair. Disney Theatricals and Robert Boyett were the benefactors for New Dramatists 61st Annual Spring Luncheon.

The 55th Annual Village Voice OBIE Awards were presented on Monday, May 17, 2010, at a ceremony held at Webster Hall in Manhattan. Co-hosted by Michael Cerveris and former OBIE winner Anika Noni Rose, the awards were presented by J.
