Cape Rep Theatre presents Summer Starlight, an evening to remember, Sunday, August 6, with guest of honor, Tony Award winning theatre, film and television actor, Michael Cerveris. Tickets for this gala celebration benefiting Cape Rep Theatre include an outdoor party with hors d'oeuvres and live jazz, a performance and audience discussion with Mr. Cerveris in the Indoor Theater emceed by filmmaker Amber Edwards, and a champagne and dessert finale with Michael Cerveris under the stars.  Sunday, August 6, 6 PM. There's a new tonsorial parlor setting up shop at Palm Beach Dramaworks this summer, and the proprietor possesses skills that can best be described as cutthroat. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, the brilliant Tony Award-winning musical thriller by Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and Hugh Wheeler (book), opens at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre on July 14, following a specially priced preview on July 13. This deliciously macabre and witty tale of a throat-slitting barber and his enterprising accomplice, Mrs. Lovett, who grinds his victims into meat pies, runs through August 6. Clive Cholerton directs and Emmanuel Schvartzman, making his PBD debut, is the musical director. (more...)

Earlier this evening, Pittsburgh CLO Guild President Anne Liparulo announced the Guild's pledge of $500,000 to Pittsburgh CLO's Next Generation Campaign at the 62ndAnnual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Gala, "An Evening in Paris." This special gift was presented as a surprise to Van Kaplan, accompanied by the 2017 CLOE Award, in honor of his 20th Anniversary as Executive Producer of the organization.
