Andrew Lippa and Brian Crawley's beloved musical, A Little Princess, is coming to 54 Below. The cast will include Abigail Shapiro (current star of Liberty: A Monumental New Musical, "Cindy Lou Who" in How The Grinch Stole Christmas) as Sara Crewe, composer Andrew Lippa (Big Fish, The Addams Family, I am Harvey Milk) as Miss Minchin, Emerson Steele (young "Violet" in Violet) as Becky, Alicia Hall Moran (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) as Aljana along with Paige Brady ("Matilda" in Matilda The Musical), Ava Ulloa ("Matilda" in Matilda The Musical), Mavis Simpson-Ernst (Evita), and Emma Howard (Matilda The Musical, Violet). Additional Broadway stars cast in the concert to be announced soon.

The next Cabaret for a Cause will be held December 8th, 2014.

A Little Princess ran at the Hudson Guild Theatre, May 22-25, 2014. The production features Music and Lyrics by Marc Folan and Book by Adam Boden. Directed by Laura Luc (And a Child Shall Lead, Pippi Longstocking), with Music Direction by Sinai Tabak (Stars of David). Broadway may be dark on Mondays, but more than a dozen young performers from stage, film, and television shone at the first ever Songs for Story Shifters benefit concert on Monday November 4th at Stage 72 in The Triad Theater. Proceeds from the two shows will go to Story Shifters, an education residency program providing free theater education to New York City students with autism and other learning disabilities.
