It's not hard to stumble across an excess of reviews for any given Broadway show these days, but there is a group of theatregoers that is wildly underrepresented when it comes to opinions on Broadway- kids! BroadwayWorld continues our new series, KID CRITICS, which gives parents and children alike a kid's perspective on Broadway's hottest shows. The cast of the new Off-Broadway revival of the hit musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown set down tracks for the new cast recording on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Avatar Studios. Broadway Records will release the 2016 Off-Broadway cast recording, now available for pre-order at broadwayrecords.com and Amazon, and will be available on iTunes and other retailers on September 16, 2016. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Interim Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, in association with Van Dean and Sister Productions, will present the hit musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown with book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and additional material by Andrew Lippa, directed by York's Associate Artistic Director Michael Unger with music direction by Eric Svejcar.  

It's only a few moments before choreographer Jennifer Paulson- Lee will watch her cast give the press a 'sneak peek' of their rehearsals. They're preparing to perform three musical numbers from 'You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown' which will be presented at The York Theatre beginning this week for a limited engagement. What's unique about this revival is the fact that a pint-sized cast of 9 to 13 year olds is performing all the roles. But don't let their ages fool you. This young bunch of talented thespians has a list of professional credits that any seasoned 35-year-old performer would envy. As the press files into the theatre, Paulson-Lee is busy making last minute corrections on her young charges. She is gentle and soft-spoken yet gets her point across to these eager children who take her notes and make the adjustments on the spot. The mutual love and admiration between this gang of peanuts and their dance master is all too evident.

On March 14th, 2016, CABARET FOR A CAUSE was held at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Young performers from the Broadway community gathered to raise money for Story Shifters, a theatre residency for students with physical, medical and neurological impairments. Created in 2010, Cabaret for a Cause brings together young professionals from the Broadway Community for an evening of performances to benefit children around the world. On March 14th, they will hold two shows at 5pm and 8pm.

The full cast has been announced for this next week's concert TIM REALBUTO IS INAPPROPRIATE, which will benefit charity Broadway Barks.. TIM REALBUTO IS INAPPROPRIATE will play on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 PM at NYC hotspot The Cutting Room.

Popular up-and-coming writer and performer Tim Realbuto, who is most know for co-creating the musical GHOSTLIGHT and for a string of concerts called WUNDERKIND, highlighting his life growing up in show business, has announced his next concert venture. The show is called TIM REALBUTO IS INAPPROPRIATE and it will play on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 PM at NYC hotspot The Cutting Room.
