Outside Edge Theatre Company celebrates its 20th birthday this November as the UK's only theatre company and participatory arts charity focused on addiction. To mark this momentous occasion OETC hosted an evening of performances at Troubadour Theatre (White City) on November 1st. As well as reflecting on the success of the past twenty years, the evening looked towards the future by announcing a new script competition to be judged by multi-award-winning playwright Enda Walsh and other leading theatre industry figures.

Deadline reports that Michael Keaton has joined the cast of Aaron Sorkin's upcoming film 'The Trial Of The Chicago 7.' William Hurt and J.C. MacKenzie also joined the cast.

On Friday, 20th September, Rising Tides, announced that Oscar-winner and theatre star, Mark Rylance, has become its Patron.

Variety reports that Jeremy Strong has joined the cast of Aaron Sorkin's 'The Trial of the Chicago 7.' Previously announced cast members include Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Frank Langella, Mark Rylance and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aaron Sorkin's 'The Trial of the Chicago 7' is back on track at Paramount Studios. The film was previously canceled by Amblin due to concerns with the budget.

Following a triumphant run in Chicago, The New York premiere of DC Fidler's play BOOGIEBAN, begins Thursday, September 5th at 8 p.m., with stars, DAVID PEACOCK and TRAVIS TEFFNER at Thirteenth Street Repertory Theater (50 W. Thirteenth Street), New York.

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) will present Curve of Departure by Rachel Bonds in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA, from August 8 - 18. The production is directed by Keira Naughton making her CTC debut.

The Chicago premiere of DC Fidler's play BOOGIEBAN, begins Thursday August 8th at 8:00 pm, prior to its opening on Friday, August 9th at 8 p.m., with stars, DAVID PEACOCK and TRAVIS TEFFNER at Chicago Dramatists (1105 W. Chicago Avenue), Chicago.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces a Free Introduction to TRU's Producer Program on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Polaris North Studio, 245 W. 29th St, 4th floor, NYC.

According to the Guardian, three-time Tony winner Mark Rylance has resigned as an associate artist with the UK's Royal Shakespeare Company due to a sponsorship deal with BP. He explained: "I do not wish to be associated with BP any more than I would with an arms dealer, a tobacco salesman or anyone who wilfully destroys the lives of others alive and unborn. Nor, I believe, would William Shakespeare."

Theatre for a New Audience founding artistic director Jeffrey Horowitz, having just received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2019 OBIEs, today announces TFANA's 40th anniversary season. The San Francisco Early Music Society (SFEMS) brings its 2018-19 concert season to a close next month with a special concert by acclaimed countertenor Iestyn Davies joined by the brilliant young lutenist Thomas Dunford, dubbed the Eric Clapton of the lute (BBC Music Magazine). Together they will perform songs by Dowland, Purcell and Handel. This concert will take place at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 19, at First Congregational Church in Berkeley.
