The iconic Her Majesty's Theatre in Adelaide has delivered another stellar performance, winning a major award at the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) Professional Excellence in Building Awards at the weekend.

The Widdington sisters have lived a quiet life for years in Cornwall, England. Then one day in 1937, a handsome, young man washes up on the shore below their home. He's a talented violinist that was headed from Poland to America.

From award-winning creator Julian Fellowes comes the motion picture event DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEW ERA. The much-anticipated cinematic return of the global phenomenon reunites the beloved cast, including Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Imelda Staunton, Laura Haddock, and more.

The original principal cast of DOWNTON ABBEY will all once again return for the second film. In addition to the original cast, Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, Dominic West, and Jonathan Zaccaï will join the cast. The official trailer will be released tomorrow, February 15.

The Little Theatre of Manchester (LTM) is seeking a multi-racial cast for an April production of Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Auditions will be held on Sunday, 1/16 and Tuesday 1/18 from 6 to 9 pm at Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Road, Manchester.

In the spirit of the holiday season, Westport Country Playhouse Radio Theater, a free-of-charge broadcast series, will reprise from last year the inventive audio play, “A Merry Little Christmas Carol,” airing on WSHU Radio on Saturday, December 25, at 3:06 p.m. (following the national news), with a rebroadcast on Sunday, December 26, at 3:06 p.m.

A brand-new stage adaptation of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is set to be a major new theatre production. Written by Deborah Moggach, adapted from her bestselling novel which inspired the BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated film, and directed by Lucy Bailey, the cherished story will be brought to life on stage when it opens at the Richmond Theatre on Tuesday, 30th August 2022.

The Evening Standard Theatre Awards is to return in 2022. The annual award ceremony took a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, but will return in November of next year. No venue or date has yet been confirmed for the awards at this time.

Three-time Olivier award-winning Alex Jennings will lead the cast in the world premiere of The Southbury Child, the new play by BAFTA winner Stephen Beresford.  Directed by Nicholas Hytner, the production will play at the Bridge Theatre next summer following an opening run at Chichester Festival Theatre.

The internationally acclaimed St Petersburg Ballet Theatre is to make its long-awaited return to Dublin at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Spring 2022 with the full-length classic production of Swan Lake.  Given the limited performance opportunities over the past two years the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre dancers are now in huge demand around the world.
