Aurora Theatre Company presents the return special limited engagement TELL TALE HEARTS: An Evening of Hip Hop Theatre Featuring Carlos Aguirre and The Bay Area Theatre Cypher, three evenings of hip hop theatre and spoken word. Carlos Aguirre and The Bay Area Theatre Cypher return to Aurora following sold-out shows last December.

Los Angeles-based acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter IAN GOTHE has released 'Blood On the Rooftops In Montrose,' the second track and video from his debut album MEMENTO. Due February 7, 2020 via the California-based Blackbird Record Label, the album was co-produced by IAN with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Jim Scott (Wilco, Tom Petty).

Galactic are pleased to announce their 25th anniversary tour, a celebration they're excited to share with fans across the country as they look back on their storied history together as a band. Over the past quarter century, the renowned New Orleans group have released 10 studio albums, played countless gigs and festivals throughout the world, and within the last year, partnered together to purchase and preserve the legacy of the legendary Tipitina's club. This coming February and March they will play shows across the US, with alternating guests including Anders Osbourne, Chali 2na, Jackie Green, Dirty Revival, Naughty Professor, and Southern Avenue. Joining Galactic on stage as the featured singer for this tour will be New Orleans native Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, a singer who's musical gifts have seen her talent tapped by artists such as Michelle Williams, Faith Evans, and Norah Jones. Look for the album, co-produced by IAN with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Jim Scott (Wilco, Tom Petty), to be available February 7, 2020 via the California-based Blackbird Record Label.

Genre-jumping indie artist Julia Bhatt has just premiered the video for her latest track 'Tall' on Ghettoblaster. The bold pop-art-styled video compliments the track's rapidfire tongue-twisting vocals and fierce bossa nova backbone while also paying homage to Bhatt's love for her pet hedgehog Ernie.

Critically acclaimed American roots artist The Reverend Shawn Amos has released the debut track “Counting Down The Days” from his forthcoming album with The Brotherhood – a group of masterful musicians that includes drummer Brady Blade (Dave Matthews, Indigo Girls), bassist Christopher Thomas (Norah Jones, Carly Simon, Macy Gray) and longtime Rev guitarist Chris “Doctor” Roberts. The track was featured last week at Glide Magazine, who called it “a blackened riff howl of workmanship blues and Texas boogie that never surrenders.” Elmore featured the new lyric video today, saying “this material showcases Shawn Amos's songwriting like no previous Rev outing, alternately furious, vulnerable; crazy, forlorn and tender.”

It all stems straight from the heart. Nashville-based songstress Lucie Silvas unapologetically personifies a spirit of freedom. Like a well-traveled rolling stone, her music threads together an Americana patchwork of retro-fitted pop and countrified rock, echoing sweet Motown soul, dripping dirty Delta blues, and reflecting Laurel Canyon bliss. However, her independence behind-the-scenes makes such sonic fearlessness possible in the first place.

The world famous Troubadour in Los Angeles will host the Donny Hathaway Live Tribute this Friday March 15th at 9 p.m. An incredible group of musicians and singers will come together to perform the music featured on the classic album 'Donny Hathaway Live' which was released in 1972. Long considered one of the best live albums ever recorded, the songs are taken from a performance originally given by Donny Hathaway at the Troubadour back in 1971.

 Tonight, the Guild of Music Supervisors hosted its annual awards show in Los Angeles, honoring Marc Shaiman with the Icon Award and Joel Sill with the prestigious Legacy Award for his creative contribution to music in film. The evening kicked off with special opening remarks from Guild of Music Supervisors President Thomas Golubi?, and featured performances by Aimee Mann, Lukas Nelson, Spotlight Artist King Princess, and a surprise act by Marc Shaiman.
