Set upon the picturesque banks of the Hudson River and immersed in vibrant autumnal foliage, celebrated companies and artists presented diverse and world-class dance at this year's Hudson Valley Dance Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Catskill, NY. Two performances at Historic Catskill Point raised $145,964 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Celebrating its 50th year of storytelling, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is currently being performed at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center. This Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice classic is a biblical reimagining of Joseph and his coat of many colors, following the journey of Israel's favorite son, his trials with his eleven brothers, and the triumps in giving and forgiveness.

Only a few prime tickets remain for this weekend's Fire Island Dance Festival, featuring three world premieres, a Tony Award-winning choreographer, a Tony-nominated dancer and performers from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet and Paul Taylor Dance Company. Fire Island Dance Festival (#fidance) brings acclaimed dance from an array of styles to a picturesque waterfront stage on the Great South Bay in Fire Island Pines. The festival kicks off with an exclusive Leadership Event this Friday, July 20, and continues with three performances Saturday and Sunday, July 21-22. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is pleased to announce Rue Montorgueil, a joyful short film that sprang to life on a bustling Parisian street when Ailey company members performed with local dancers - people of different backgrounds, talents and nationalities joined together through the universal language of dance. Recognized by U.S. Congressional resolution as a vital American Cultural Ambassador to the World, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater participated in the project during a 10-week international tour throughout Europe led by Artistic Director Robert Battle. Fittingly, it is being released on United Nations Day, which celebrates the founding and ideals of the UN, with an official theme this year of Potential in Diversity.
