Kaleta & Super Yamba Band will take their lauded live show back on the road this summer and fall. The shows kick off in Colorado Springs, CO tonight, August 9 and include debut festival appearances at Brooklyn’s Afropunk, Chicago’s World Music Festival and Louisville’s The Big Stomp as well as a performance at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

Rising singer-songwriter Danielle Ponder is set to release her debut album “Some Of Us Are Brave.” The title track is out now, with an accompanying video, a work dedicated to Black women filmed in the artist’s hometown of Rochester, New York. “Some Of Us Are Brave” is the third song unveiled from Ponder’s forthcoming LP. Produced by Drew Brown (Radiohead, Beck, Charlotte Gainsbourg) and featuring an all-star backing combo, “Fire Escape” is joined by an equally star-studded official music video, directed by filmmaker Lester Lyons-Hookham and co-starring actors Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul) and Allison Wright (The Americans, Snowpiercer).

Minneapolis-based trans artist, producer, singer, and rapper ZORA (she/her) releases her remarkable, entirely self-produced debut album, Z1, today. The album was released via Queer, indie record label Get Better Records in celebration of Pride, Black Music Month and Juneteenth Weekend.
