The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) in association with Theatre of War will present the World Premiere of Weekend, adapted and directed by Christopher-Rashee Stevenson (Dutchman) from Jean-Luc Godard's 1967 film, at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), November 18-December 2. Performances will be on Wednesday, November 28 at 8pm, Thursday, November 29 at 8pm, Friday, November 30 at 8pm, Saturday, December 1 at 8pm, and Sunday, December 2 at 8pm. Tickets ($25 General; $15 Student) are available for advance purchase at www.thetanknyc.org. The performance will run approximately 40 minutes, with no intermission.

Under the direction of Charles O. Anderson, Dorothy O'Shea Overbey and Gesel Mason, The University of Texas at Austin's award-winning dance company Dance Repertory Theatre returns to the stage in Fall For Dance, November 6-11 at the B. Iden Payne Theatre. An examination of embodiment and innovation through contemporary ballet, Fall For Dance features works by renowned guest artists, including Gregory Dolbashian and Sidra Bell. 

On September 27, New York City Ballet presented the seventh installment of its annual Fall Fashion Gala, celebrating choreography and costume design with an evening of world premiere ballets and creative collaborations between some of today's most exciting artists from the worlds of dance and design. One month after the close of its 86th season, Jacob's Pillow announces record-breaking ticket sales for its acclaimed summer dance festival. The organization reports over $2.5 million in ticket sales, an increase of 13% when compared with 2017; over 40,000 tickets were sold, an increase of 5%, when compared with last year. The season boasts 10,000 unique ticket buyers, an increase of 8% and the largest number since the organization began tracking this particular indicator in 2005.

The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) is proud to announce that award-winning actor, director, producer, and philanthropist Tim Daly will accept the distinguished Prince Rainier III Award for his outstanding artistry and exemplary give-back. Daly will be honored at the Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York on October 16, 2018.

Florencia Lozano joins The Muse Project for their inaugural Tea Time event on October 21st at 5:30pm at The Flea Theater in Tribeca. Tea Times are a one-of-a-kind Muse pilot program, and October 21st's Tea Time will cap off a week of exciting presentations from some of New York's most dynamic women performers (Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations). During Tea Times, a veteran stage actress (Ms. Lozano) discusses her experiences building her career. The Muse Project's Artistic Director, Jocelyn Kuritsky, will lead the discussion with Ms. Lozano. A q&a with attendees and tea (and cookies!) and networking to follow. This event is open to all, and it is also a special opportunity for women actors to network with Ms. Lozano, each other, and to seek insight and support.

The Muse Project, in association with The Tank, will present Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations at The Flea Theater as a part of their Anchor Partnership. Musings showcases the exciting, fresh, paradigm-shifting storytelling that New York's leading actresses have developed through intensive workshops. The Muse Project gives women performers the time, space, and opportunity to experiment with and explore their fantasy projects. Veteran performer Lynn Cohen will be investigating previously unexplored terrain with collaborator Lewis Black in his piece Dottie's Home. Recent Lucille Lortel nominee Vanessa Aspillaga and Obie winner Jessica Frances Dukes, alongside acclaimed directors Jose Zayas and Seret Scott, will dig into long hungered-for solo work.

New York City Ballet announced today that a new work by choreographer Emma Portner, previously scheduled to premiere on Thursday, January 31 as part of the Company's annual New Combinations evening, will now premiere at NYCB's 2019 Spring Gala performance on Thursday, May 2.

Dixon Place proudly presents the world premiere of YouthandDeath, the debut evening-long work by chrisbelldances (choreographer, Chris Bell,) a semi-autobiographical piece of dance-theater investigating themes of mortality and the cyclical nature of life. After a season of thrilling and diverse programming,The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director), New York City's premier presenter of dance, proudly kicks off its 2018-2019 Fall/Winter Season with the return of the wildly popular NY Quadrille, which had its debut in the fall of 2016. The three-week engagement, performed in a transformed Joyce Theater performance space, is conceived and curated by famed choreographer Lar Lubovitch, and features works by some of today's most acclaimed and celebrated choreographers/companies including John Jasperse Projects, Kyle Abraham's A.I.M, former Merce Cunningham dancers Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener, Donna Uchizono Company, and Beth Gill.
