Second Stage Theater has announced that Deeksha Gaur has joined the Company’s Board of Directors as a Trustee. Additionally, the Board is announcing the appointment of Janet Lynne Knopf, who joined the Board as a Trustee during the pandemic shutdown.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that the 11th annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals are now open and will run through April 18, 2022. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place in person in NYC for the first time since 2019.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return on Tuesday, September 14th, with an all new series of unforgettable performances. Sixteen actors have been paired with writers who have crafted unique pieces especially for them. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.  

Three productions include the ZACH360 experience, ZACH's new artistic initiative to create dynamic theatre experiences that are immersive, revelatory, and fun. Actors engage the audience in the storytelling, as ZACH takes a fresh approach to familiar work.

Boise Contemporary Theater, the only professional theater in the state of Idaho that focuses entirely on new and contemporary plays, is thrilled to announce the selections for its inaugural BIPOC Playwrights Festival, made possible by the Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation and the Morrison Center Endowment Foundation. Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater will present Shipwrecked! An Entertainment—The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (as Told by Himself) by Donald Margulies, directed by Daisy Walker and starring Rodney Witherspoon II, Jackie Davis, and Jackson Goldberg. Performances are June 30 – July 25 at 7:00 p.m.

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced that Amanda Green has been elected to be their incoming Council President succeeding outgoing President Doug Wright. She will be the first woman president in the Guild’s 100-year history.

American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University announces the remainder of the 2020-2021 season. The 15th anniversary season concludes with the development of three new music theatre works and the first Capstone Festival featuring works created by senior music theatre students at Northwestern's School of Communication.

The 24 Hour Plays has announced a special edition round of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, featuring brand-new monologues written, rehearsed and recorded in 24 hours by Developing Artist teens and stars of stage and screen.   Beginning at 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 28th, one monologue will be released every 15 minutes on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube.
