RuPaul, the Emmy-winning host of “RuPaul's Drag Race” is bringing his personality to the daytime space, filming a talk show pilot for Telepictures, Variety has learned exclusively.

President/Founder of The Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan, along with Council Member Mitch O'Farrell and Board President Esteban Montemayor of Christopher Street West, kicked off Pride weekend with the annual 'Real to Reel' exhibit that shines the spotlight on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBTQ) community in television and film through the decades. This year's event also feature a special recognition with The Future of Hollywood Award presented to actress Stephanie Beatriz and the Legacy Award to TONY Award winning actress, Julie Newmar.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center will present Emmy Award winner John Leguizamo in a live performance of his Tony-nominated hit, Latin History for Morons, as part of a Netflix special filming at NJPAC, June 28th - 30th, 2018.

The new, vérité-styled docucomedy “Life After QVC,” starring former QVC tv host Dale Guy Madison, will make its world premiere at the 26th annual Independent Filmmakers Showcase (IFS) Film Festival, set to take place May 9- 20, 2018 at various venues throughout Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Villanova Theatre presents a staged reading of The Behavior of Light, written and directed by Broadway playwright and Hollywood screenwriter, Douglas Carter Beane. Perhaps best known for his screenplay To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar as well as his award-winning work on musicals Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Sister Act, Xanadu and Lysistrata Jones, Beane is playwright-in-residence at Villanova University this spring. The acclaimed writer has been working alongside undergraduate and graduate students on a new play development process culminating in a public reading April 27-29, 2018. The Behavior of Light is sure to capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences far and wide.

According to the New York Post, a musical workshop of the cult-hit film, To Wong Foo...Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar! is headed into production in New York this week, directed by the film's author, Douglas Carter Beane.

Patrick Swayze, a three-time Golden Globe nominated actor, dancer, and singer-songwriter is best-known as the romantic lead in 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Ghost', and for the 'North and South' TV-series. His first professional job was as a dancer for Disney on Parade. In the 70's, the Texas native moved to New York to further his formal dance training. He studied with the Harkness Ballet Company, and then the Joffrey, before joining the Eliot Feld Ballet as a principal dancer.

Mike Hodge, an accomplished actor, stalwart unionist and New York president of SAG-AFTRA, passed away on September 9th. He was 70. Hodge had a long career as a Broadway, TV, film and commercial actor. His Broadway credits included SEARCH AND DESTROY, A FEW GOOD MEN and FENCES.
