Artists from the bands Postmodern Jukebox, tUnE-yArDs and Diane Coffee join Broadway and West End talent for Lyric Opera's North American premiere of Timothy Sheader's explosive Olivier Award-winning production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, presented from April 27 to May 20, 2018 at the Lyric Opera House, 20 N. Wacker Drive, Chicago (press opening April 28).

OTHER WORLD, a new musical with an original score and story by Tony Award Nominee Hunter Bell (book), Obie Award winner Jeff Bowen (music and lyrics), and singer-songwriter and author Ann McNamee (music and lyrics) will have an invitation-only developmental lab presentation on Thursday, February 15 and Friday, February 16 at Jerome Robbins Theatre at Baryshnikov Arts Center, 450 W. 37th Street.

The Civilians (Steve Cosson, Artistic Director), the award-winning New York-based theater company, presents Jill Sobule & Times Square, a new musical on February 5, 2018, at Joe's Pub. Join Jill Sobule and her collaborators for a special performance of songs from Times Square, a new musical about two girls who find courage, love, and rock and roll while on the run in the rough and sleazy streets of the old Times Square. Inspired by the cult classic movie of the same name, Sobule and her longtime collaborator Robin Eaton have created a score that evokes the eclectic musical landscape of late 70's NYC, from the downtown CBGB's sound to heartfelt ballads.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) presents HUNDRED DAYS, with a book by The Bengsons (Iphigenia in Aulis) and Sarah Gancher (The Place We Built), music and lyrics by The Bengsons, direction by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman, and movement direction by Obie Award winner Sonya Tayeh (you'll still call me by name). The Theatre Labs process is rigorous and generative. 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of The N'Harmonics, New York University's premier coed a cappella group sponsored by Tisch School of the Arts.
