what did our critic think? NEWSIES at the brand new Belle Theatre in Cape Coral took place June 10-19, and I saw one of the final few performances. NEWSIES is one of my favorites, so I was looking forward to experiencing this production in a new way.

Running July 1 through 16 at The Colonial Theatre, the audience will be transported to a bustling Irish pub with a stage full of incredibly talented actors singing and playing their own instruments.

Dear Evan Hansen has been a long-awaited show for this reviewer and it did not disappoint. The show was inspired by the true story of Benj Pasek, the show's lyricist, who, after a high school classmate died of a drug overdose, witnessed classmates tell false stories of being part of the deceased student's life.
