Lionsgate's Debmar-Mercury has announced the renewal of Sherri, hosted by actress, comedian and Daytime Emmy Award-winning co-host of The View Sherri Shepherd, for a third season in more than 95 percent of the U.S.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report the death of Broadway producer Ira Bernstein, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 21, 2023 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was 94 years old.

The cash-plus-barter freshman talk show hosted by actress, comedian and the Daytime Emmy Award®-winning co-host of The View, Sherri Shepherd, gains the long-term extension from its anchor station group based on its first-season success.

Appearing on the network since November 2020, the series brings viewers to Providence Municipal Court in Rhode Island, where social phenom, Chief Judge Frank Caprio, delivers everyday justice with heart and humor.

Law&Crime, the leading 24/7 true crime and live trial network, is adding the hit viral show, Caught in Providence, to its primetime programming lineup. Law&Crime will start airing episodes on Monday, November 16th.

Celebrating the rapid expansion of new program content, The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) today announced that it will bring back the iconic IRIS Awards. The first honorees are Lionsgate's Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein receiving the Career Achievement Award; and Perry Sook, receiving the Lew Klein Leadership Award; and the weekly syndicated political show “Matter of Fact with Soledad O'Brien” receiving the Iris Award of Excellence.  All of the honorees will be on hand to accept their awards.  The presentation will take place during the annual Station Group Summit at NATPE Miami on January 22.
