After playing 135 cities in 29 different countries around the world, Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical will sashay into the Lyric Theatre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) from 26 September 2018 for the show's Queensland premiere season.

Sydney Theatre Company tonight unveils its 2019 Season - Kip Williams' second as Artistic Director. It is a bold program of thirteen shows across four venues which will inspire, challenge and entertain audiences.

The 2018 Helpmann Awards Act II tonight was a star-studded ceremony in front of a full house at the Capitol Theatre Sydney on the set of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical. Hosts for this stellar evening were music writer Glenn A Baker AM, acclaimed choreographer Rafael Bonachela, celebrated musical theatre star and TV host David Campbell, multiple Helpmann Award winning mezzo soprano Jacqueline Dark, comedian Anne Edmonds and Olivier and Tony Award Nominee Tony Sheldon.

Broadway and West End stars Tony Sheldon is currently starring in Priscilla Queen of the Desert in Australia. The actor stopped by to chat with Rev. Bill Crews for his radio show Sunday Night with Bill Crews. Sheldon talked about the show, its significance, and his own career thus far.

The treasured Australian actor, who recently notched up 30 years as Home and Away's Alf Stewart, will swap Summer Bay for the Queensland stage, joining the cast of Priscilla for the musical's Brisbane run at Lyric Theatre, QPAC beginning 26th September. Ray takes over from veteran actor Robert Grubb who will down tools at the end of the Adelaide season after more than eight months on the road.

Last night, Showtime hosted the premiere of the new limited series PATRICK MELROSE. The screening was held at the Linwood Dunn Theater at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study and was followed by an after party at Beauty and Essex. 

Last week, more than 100 teenagers from across Sydney had fun at the theatre, without a teacher in sight. A VIP experience with Sydney Theatre Company, especially designed for young Playwave members, saw 15-19 year olds treated to a Q&A with STC's Artistic Director, Kip Williams, before a performance of The Resistible Rise of Arturo UI starring Hugo Weaving. It was the first of many unique Playwave Experiences planned as part of this Sydney-wide program to engage new young audiences for the arts.

Based on the acclaimed Patrick Melrose series of semi-autobiographical novels written by Edward St. Aubyn, the series will premiere on Saturday, May 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. PATRICK MELROSE is an acerbic and fearless look at the protagonist's harrowing odyssey from a deeply traumatic childhood to his remarkable survival as an adult. In scheduling PATRICK MELROSE for five consecutive Saturdays, SHOWTIME is expanding to a new night of original programming, joining the network's existing sports and movie offerings on Saturday nights.

PATRICK MELROSE is an acerbic and fearless look at the protagonist's harrowing odyssey from a deeply traumatic childhood to his remarkable survival as an adult. In scheduling PATRICK MELROSE for five consecutive Saturdays, SHOWTIME is expanding to a new night of original programming, joining the network's existing sports and movie offerings on Saturday nights.

In a tour de force role, Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game, Sherlock), who also executive produces the new series, plays the titular character who struggles to overcome the damage inflicted by a horribly abusive father and the mother who tacitly condoned his behavior. Academy Award® nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight) and Screen Actors Guild® winner Hugo Weaving (The Matrix trilogy) also star as Patrick Melrose's parents. Rounding out this accomplished cast are Anna Madeley (The Crown), Blythe Danner (Meet the Fockers), Allison Williams (Get Out), Pip Torrens (The Crown), Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife), Prasanna Puwanarajah (Doctor Foster), Holliday Grainger (THE BORGIAS, Bonnie & Clyde), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones) and Celia Imrie (Bridget Jones's Baby). Hugo Weaving will make his much-anticipated return to the Sydney Theatre Company's stage this March in Bertolt Brecht's 1941 classic The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui. STC Artistic Director Kip Williams directs a cast which also includes Mitchell Butel, Peter Carroll, Anita Hegh, and Ursula Yovich.
