Ballet Hispánico is continuing its Community Arts Partnerships (CAP) this winter and spring with a series of educational and community engagement events that will reach thousands of students, families, and fans nationwide, from California to Texas and back to the Company's NYC hometown.

Ballet Hispánico, the nation's largest Latinx dance organization recognized as one of America's Cultural Treasures, announced the appointment of Tamia B. Santana as the organization's new Chief Engagement and Inclusion Officer. Effective today, Santana reports directly to Eduardo Vilaro, Artistic Director & CEO, Ballet Hispánico.

​​​​​​​Ballet Hispánico Artistic Director & CEO Eduardo Vilaro joins Executive Director of the Brooklyn Dance Festival, Tamia Santana, to examine the past, present, and future of Ballet Hispánico in another installation of Diálogos; the culminating event of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations on October 15, 2021.

Wharton Center will welcome back the nation's leading Latinx dance company, Ballet Hispánico, to the Cobb Great Hall for one night only.

Ballet Hispánico will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a robust and engaging programming line-up anchored by the organization's annual A La Calle Block Party. The fourth edition of the popular community event will take place virtually on Friday, October 1, from 7:00 -8:00 p.m. Eastern.

Ballet Hispánico is doubling down on its long-standing commitment and promise of support to Latinx dancers and the BIPOC communities it serves with the launch of two new innovative initiatives beginning September 2021: Latinx Dance Institute and a new tuition-free professional studies program, Pa'lante Scholars.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances' season of free, live performances this summer continues with six esteemed New York City-based dance companies showcasing their work on the Bryant Park stage. The Dance series begins on August 16 with American Modern dance vanguards Limón Dance Company as well as tap dance from Music From The Sole and more.

The companies will join forces for a series of FREE in-person dance concerts through July 31, 2021 at various New York borough locations. 

Reservations are required for the livestream finale concert. All performances are FREE and open to the public.  Each one-hour concert will be followed by lively dance-making with the audience, led by the company, plus post-concert Q&A.

Ballet Hispánico, the nation's renowned Latinx dance organization recognized as one of America's Cultural Treasures, presents a series of FREE in-person dance concerts with the Young Dancemakers Company, July 21, 23, 27, 28, 31, 2021, at various New York borough locations. Reservations are required for the livestream finale concert.

The performances will run from July 21st thru July 31st and feature original works by the teens, developed under the tutelage of the YDC faculty and guest artists. The company will also train daily with Ballet Hispánico's Natalia Alonso, and learn an excerpt of Ann Reinking's Ritmo y Ruido.

Five of New York City’s most acclaimed dance companies—Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem—will perform on the same stage at the first BAAND Together Dance Festival in Damrosch Park as part of Restart Stages.

In the third week of the 2021 Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Ballet Hispánico makes its fifth appearance at Jacob's Pillow with a program encompassing five decades of lush and virtuosic dance from July 14-18 on the Henry J. Leir Stage.

Ballet Hispánico has announced receipt of a transformative $10 million gift from philanthropists MacKenzie Scott and Dan Jewett. The largest single gift Ballet Hispánico has received, it will enable the trailblazing company to fortify its mission and legacy for years to come, ensuring the health and future of the organization.

Ballet Hispánico, the nation's renowned and the largest Latinx cultural organization in the U.S. recognized as one of America's Cultural Treasures, will be featured on The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' David Vaughan's The Dance Historian Is In on June 30, 2021 at 1pm ET. The Auditorium Theatre has announced its 2021-22 Season, with Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater officially reopening the historic stage on October 16, 2021. Subscriptions are now on sale, and tickets to individual productions will go on sale on August 13 and October 27.

Ballet Hispánico, the nation's leading Latino dance organization since 1970 and recognized as one of America's Cultural Treasures, presents a virtual showing of the 2021 Instituto Coreográfico on June 10 at 6pm.
