The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) concludes its 60th Anniversary Season with its final Main Stage production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Last seen at STNJ in 2009, Jason King Jones directs one of the Bard's most celebrated comedies just in time for the holidays. Veteran company members Jon Barker, Jeffrey M. Bender, and Tony Award nominee Robert Cuccioli are among a diverse cast of 14 actors.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announces its 56th season lineup after the great success of its 2017 season that featured the Northeast debut of the hit Shakespeare in Love, as well as a number of productions that were praised by The Star-Ledger and NJ Arts in their 'Top Ten' listings. The Theatre's 2018 slogan is 'Comic Relief' and the company will present six shows on its Main Stage at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre and one summer production on the Outdoor Stage. The 2018 season will include works by Shakespeare, Moliere, Goldoni, and Noel Coward; additionally, the Theatre will present two plays never seen before on the STNJ stage by British playwright Brandon Thomas and American Pulitzer Prize-winner Sam Shepard.

Holiday theatergoers have something to celebrate. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is presenting their outstanding season finale, 'It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play' now through December 31. The beloved Christmas story is cleverly performed as a radio broadcast. Directed by Doug West and adapted by Joe Landry, the production features a superb cast and excellent staging. It is a marvelous show that will please the entire family.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announces its 2017 lineup after completing an immensely successful 2016 season that was repeatedly featured in "Top Ten Productions of 2016" listings, such as The Star-Ledger, The Wall Street Journal, and NJ Arts. The 2017 season promises to be a thrilling one, featuring beloved classics, as well as an epic new work. The Theatre is especially proud to be the first theatre in the Northeast to present Shakespeare in Love by Lee Hall, the new play based on the Academy Award-winning film by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard with music by Paddy Cunneen. The new stage adaptation is one of five plays to appear on STNJ's Main Stage in 2017 and will be accompanied with works by Moliere, Shakespeare and Joe Orton.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey has announced that its new Shakespeare Theatre Academy begins its second year, offering youth and adult classes in a wide range of disciplines connected with classic theatre as well as two new weekend intensives on the 'art of auditioning.' Classes meet once a week in the Theatre's exciting support/education facility and give participants the opportunity to work under the instruction of The Shakespeare Theatre's renowned artistic and education staff and guest teaching artists. 'Whether a student is taking his or her first theatre class or this experience is just one step on an ever-evolving theatrical exploration, The Shakespeare Theatre Academy provides compelling, enriching, and fun opportunities for the hidden artist in everyone,' said Director of Education Brian B. Crowe. The new one or two day intensives offer valuation instruction offer those eager to hone their audition skills.
