The curtain has risen on THE LION KING's Middle East debut, as the landmark musical event takes to the stage at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, with performances running until December 10. 

2023 marks the 45th Anniversary of Riverside Studios being established as an arts centre, and its 40th Anniversary as a charity. Creative Director Rachel Tackley, Executive Director Tony Lankester and the whole team at the West London venue have announced details of further shows now on sale for the spring, as well as a brand-new fundraising campaign – Rally for Riverside.

Disney Theatrical Productions has partnered with ArtClass’ Jamaal Parham and Bashan Aquart, also known as the Brooklyn-based directing duo, ‘Jams x Bash,’ to collaborate on a branded short film, Generations, the first of its kind for a Broadway production in celebration of The Lion King’s historic 25th Anniversary on Broadway. Disney's Winnie the Pooh will be coming to the UK and Ireland stage for the first time in Spring 2023, with preview performances at London's Riverside Studios (Hammersmith) from 17 March and an official opening on 26 March. It will then tour the UK and Ireland until September 2023.

Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, and FSCJ Artist Series, has announced that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Thursday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m.

AIDA, the musical by Elton John and Tim Rice has been reworked and updated, and the world premiere is set for 23 April 2023 in the AFAS Circustheater in Scheveningen.
